An Introduction to Safeguarding Children in the Media – 16 September

This course has been developed by TAC for S4C, and is run by the NSPCC to provide relevant support, guidance and training for independent production companies on safeguarding Children as required by S4C’s Child Protection Policy.1

This training course has been updated to comply with the new Welsh framework for safeguarding training.

The aim of this training is to enable staff to develop awareness and understanding of safeguarding and child protection processes and relate these to their role and responsibilities within the media and entertainment industry.

You will receive a certificate from the NSPCC following completion of training. Best practice advice is that the training should be undertaken at least every three years to make sure everyone is up to date with any changes.

This training has been developed by NSPCC Learning to comply with the National Safeguarding Training, Learning and Development Framework requirements for Group B Training. Group B practitioners work with children and young people in a group setting or on a one-to-one basis. The standards set out that a minimum of six hours of training is required to cover the learning outcomes.
