Ofcom had proposed to bundle primary and secondary rights and to remove a prohibition on matching rights. Both of these measures would have weakened the position of independent producers at a time when they already face significant market pressures.<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"style\":{\"elements\":{\"link\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"var:preset|color|black\"}}}},\"textColor\":\"black\",\"fontSize\":\"medium\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size\">Llyr Morus, Chair of TAC, said:<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"style\":{\"elements\":{\"link\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"var:preset|color|black\"}}}},\"textColor\":\"black\",\"fontSize\":\"medium\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size\">\u201cWe are very pleased to see that Ofcom has decided not to take forward its proposals to amend the Codes of Practice to remove the prohibition on matching rights and to allow bundling of primary and secondary rights.
